Insight Alerts

Overview

Insight Alerts allow users to send page-level Dashboard Insights reports and insight card content to recipients through email whenever predefined alert rules are met, helping business users discover anomalies in time.

Create an Alert

For pages with Dashboard Insights enabled, there are two entry points for creating an alert:

  • Click More in the upper-right corner of the page and select Create Intelligent Insight Alert to enter the configuration page.

  • Click the launcher icon in the upper-right corner, choose Alert Center > Insight Alerts, and then click Add Insight Alert to enter the configuration page.

Configure the Alert

Basic Information

Alert name

Create a name for the alert so it can be found quickly later in alert management.

Alert target

  1. Set Alert Target to Dashboard Insights.

  2. Search for and select a page. Only pages you have access to and that already have Dashboard Insights enabled are displayed.

  3. Select an insight logic.

    If the selected page has multiple configured insight prompts, you need to choose which insight logic to send in the alert. If there is only one insight logic, the default one is used automatically.

Trigger Mechanism

Enable alert

Choose whether to enable or disable the alert.

Card

Select a card from the page as the alert trigger target.

Rules

Alert rules define the conditions that trigger an alert. Guandata supports both simple and complex rules, including single-condition and composite-condition alerts.

  • One alert may include one or more alert rules.
  • A single alert rule contains both Dimension conditions and Value conditions.
  • When multiple rules are configured, you can choose whether the alert is triggered when All Rules Are Met or Any Rule Is Met.

Trigger time

You can choose After Data Update or Scheduled Execution.

  • After Data Update: every time the card data changes, the system checks the alert condition and sends a notification once the condition is met.
  • Scheduled Execution: the system checks the alert at a scheduled time every day, week, or month and sends a notification if the condition is met.

Validity period

You can choose Always Valid or Valid Within a Time Range. If you choose Valid Within a Time Range:

  • You can set a start date and end date. If neither is set, the alert is treated as long-term.
  • After the alert period ends, it can still be sent manually or through the API.
  • Period and enable/disable status interact as follows: if the alert is enabled, scheduled sending stops after the period ends; if the alert is disabled, it does not send even if the period is still active.

Alert Sent

Only email is supported. Configure Sender and Recipients.

Alert Content

Notification title

Create a title for the alert.

The title is required.

Notification content

The body content defaults to the Dashboard Insights result and cannot be edited.

Content source

Because the desktop and mobile versions of a page can differ, the generated insight results may also differ. During alert configuration, you can choose whether to send the desktop or mobile insight result.

Image content

You can choose whether to include a desktop or mobile page image in the alert notification.

Notification jump link

Configure whether the alert notification includes a clickable link.

  • Page: clicking View Details at the bottom of the alert notification opens the dashboard page associated with the alert.
  • Mobile Light App Page: clicking View Details opens the configured mobile light app page.
  • None: the notification does not display a View Details button.

Priority

Priority defines the ordering relationship between alerts. Five levels are available: Highest, High, Medium, Low, and Lowest.

Click Send me a preview to generate an insight report according to the configured alert rules and send it to your receiving channel.

Card Insights Alerts

Create an Alert

For an insight card, there are two entry points for creating an alert:

  • Click the ... button in the upper-right corner of the insight card and select Create Insight Alert.

  • Click the launcher icon in the upper-right corner, choose Alert Center > Insight Alerts, and then click Add Insight Alert.

Configure the Alert

The configuration process for Card Insights alerts is similar to Dashboard Insights alert configuration, with the main difference being the Alert Target.

  1. Set Alert Target to Card Insights and click Select Card. The system opens the card selection page.

  2. Search for the page that contains the target insight card, and then select the card that should be monitored.
