Universe Dataset

Feature Description

Universe is Guandata's intelligent data development platform. It works together with the Guandata BI analytics platform to support business applications and decision-making scenarios.

Guandata BI supports connecting data sources from the Universe database. This article explains the configuration workflow for integrating a Universe Dataset.

Prerequisites

When integrating a Universe Dataset, you need to select a Data Account.

Users who have already created a Data Account can skip this step. If you have not created one yet, see Data Account.

Create a Universe Dataset

Entry point: Data Preparation > Datasets > New Dataset > Application > Universe.

Select the Data Table

  1. On the dataset configuration page, first select the Data Account, then choose the required data table.

  2. If a new account is required, click New Account, complete the relevant configuration, and click Confirm.

  3. After the configuration is completed, click Next to enter the Confirm Data Table Information step.

Confirm the Data Table Information

In this window, users can enter the dataset name, choose the save path, and add a description.

Except that field renaming and field type switching are not supported, the configuration is basically the same as Confirm Data Table Information in database integration. For details, see Standard Database Connection Guide - Confirm Data Table Information.

After confirming the data, click Confirm Creation to create the dataset.

Manage the Created Dataset

The created Universe Dataset is saved in the designated location in the data center. Click the dataset to open its details page, where you can view the dataset overview, related Cards, data security information, and edit configuration items.
