System Announcement Usage Introduction
Applicable Scenarios
-
Guandata BI system upgrades require administrators to publish upgrade announcements so users pause usage during the upgrade.
-
Some resources, such as datasets, ETL, dashboard page content, or permission modifications, require applications to administrators. After modification, administrators need to promptly remind the resource owners and visitors.
-
The BI system notifies users when export tasks are complete and provides an entry link to Export Center.
Entry
Version 3.2 to 5.7: App launcher -- Notification Management. Visible only to administrators.

Version 5.8 and later: Me -- My Notifications. Visible to everyone.

Usage
Version 3.2 to 5.7:
Administrators enter the Notification Management page from the app launcher, click New Notification, select the notification type from the drop-down list, manually set the notification title, notification content, and publish time, and then confirm.

Version 5.8 and later:
Administrators click the user avatar in the upper-right corner, go to My Notifications -- Published List, click Publish Announcement, and add an announcement notification.

Notification Types

Notes
- All types support modifying, adding, and deleting recipients.
- After any type of notification is sent, it pops up in the upper-right corner of any Guandata BI page opened by the recipient. It does not pop up only when the user opens the corresponding page just because the type is Dashboard Message.
- After the notification pop-up appears, users must manually close it in version 5.7 and earlier. In version 5.8, you can set whether the pop-up closes automatically. After the validity period expires, announcements not yet received are no longer pushed, and received announcements are marked as invalid.
- Notification title and notification content are all the information recipients can see. Currently, only manual input in plain text format is supported. Recipients cannot see the Resource Object name, so manually enter the resource name in the title or content.
- Users can receive related notifications only during the announcement validity period. Expired announcements cannot be received. Notifications float on the right side of the window. Whether they disappear automatically is configured by the administrator on the publishing side.
The announcement notification effect is shown below:

Administrators can view notifications they have received from the Received by Me tab. After ordinary users click My Notifications, they can only see the list of notifications they have received. Notifications for export tasks are automatically generated by the system and can be used to view export history and obtain download links.
