How to Change an Account Password
Background
- System-generated initial passwords are often too simple and uniform, or random and hard to remember. Change the password after your first login.
- For account security, change your password regularly.
Methods
1. Change the password while logged in
Entry point: click the user avatar in the upper-right corner, then go to Account Settings - Password - Change.

Enter the old password, enter and confirm the new password, and then save the change.

The password must meet these requirements: 8-32 characters, using at least two of the following character types: letters, numbers, and symbols.
2. Reset a forgotten password
- On the login page, click Forgot Password.

- Enter the domain name, account, and image verification code, and then click Next. In a single-domain environment, you do not need to enter the domain name.
Multi-domain:

Single-domain:

- After the account information passes verification, the system sends a verification code to your email address. Enter the code within its validity period, which is one hour, and then click Next.

- Set a new password.

- Finish the reset and log in again with the new password.
Configure email service for password resets
- In Admin Settings - Enterprise Settings - Email Service, enable and configure the email service.

If you have already configured it, skip this step. For details, see Email Service Configuration.

In Admin Settings - System Management - Login Settings, select Email as the password reset method.

After this feature is enabled, users can click Forgot Password on the login page to reset their passwords.
