Dashboard FAQ
Which charts support linkage?
Charts that support linkage settings include all column charts, all bar charts, all line charts, single pie charts, tables, administrative maps, and heat maps. Other charts are being gradually supported. In addition, custom charts created based on the Visualization SDK can also support linkage, but the related linkage interaction logic must be developed separately.
Metric cards cannot be configured for linkage, but they can be linked by other controls. Text cards do not support linkage, but metric cards referenced in text can also be linked.
How can drill-down and linkage be used at the same time?
After configuring drill-down and association on the card, enable both features and set the default interaction to Drill-down and Linkage.

How can associated fields be configured in batches?
In Linkage for the filter:
-
Select all cards to be linked and select the target dataset.
-
Select associated fields.
-
Click Apply to Cards with the Same Dataset.
-
If there are cards from other datasets, switch the target dataset and repeat the operation.
Card Data Is Incomplete
(1) Check whether the card is filtered by linkage.
- Hover over the funnel icon in the upper-right corner of the card to view linked conditions. Filters in the card pool also affect filters on the page.
(2) Check whether the card has internal filter conditions. When both internal card filters and external linked filters are applied to the same field, external filters have higher priority by default.
(3) If the two checks above show no issues but data is still incomplete, check whether data is missing from the dataset used by the card.
How can global parameters link charts?
(1) Create a global parameter. The field name in the parameter must match the text in Quick Time Range.
(2) Process the date field in the card to derive fields such as day, week, and month.
(3) Create a Dimension field as follows:
(4) Associate the filter with the parameter.
Page export to PDF is incomplete
When the page has tab pagination, exporting to PDF or subscribing in PDF format requires dragging the scroll bar on the tab page until it disappears, so the content can be fully displayed.
How can tables on a page be subscribed as Excel files?
When creating a subscription, select Attach Card Data as Table Attachment.
How can the format of table card subscription attachments be beautified?
In the upper-right corner of the table card, click the three dots, then Export > Table Data > Enable Template. The first enablement directly opens the Table Template Settings dialog. Click Edit when you want to edit again. Configure the template according to your habits and preferences, including predefining the format for blank areas. After configuring and uploading it, exports, including card data used as subscription attachments, are exported according to the template format.

How can PDF export pagination be adjusted?
(1) Enable Export View on the dashboard page.
(2) Adjust Single Page or Pagination. In single-page mode, there are no split lines and the width can be adjusted. In pagination mode, split lines are shown. Adjust the page to Portrait or Landscape, then position cards on one page according to the split lines.
How can a page be shared?
(1) The recipient has a Guandata account
- Add other users or groups as visitors on the page. They can access the full page information through the platform URL link.
- The page owner can configure subscriptions for pages, cards, and merged multiple cards for themselves or others.
- Subscription delivery methods can include email, WeCom, or DingTalk message push, enabling data to reach users and helping them obtain key card and page information in time.

How can a date filter default to the latest date?
Edit the date filter, set Comparison Operator to Equals, and set Default Value to Latest Valid Date.
Can the date filter format be yyyyMMdd?
No. The date filter format must be yyyy-MM-dd. Other formats are not currently supported.
Can OR logic be implemented directly when filtering a table?
You need to write a calculated field, possibly combined with global parameters. It cannot be implemented directly by dragging.
Automatic wrapping for mobile table content does not take effect
Cause analysis: 1. Style settings were applied in the mobile layout. After styles are modified, PC and mobile styles are no longer shared. 2. The column width is large enough to fit the data length, so wrapping does not occur.
Solution:
(1) If you only want automatic wrapping to be consistent with desktop: click Reset next to Custom Style on the right.
Open: Pasted image 20260623144121.png

(2) If you want to set mobile styles separately: adjust the column width when the ratio is 100%.
Open: Pasted image 20260623144212.png

Note: This scenario applies only to versions earlier than 4.8.0. Version 4.8.0 and later support automatic wrapping based on column width on mobile, with no special wrapping settings required.
How can product barcodes be scanned on mobile and used as filter conditions?
Notes: 1. Versions earlier than 4.0 support scan input only in WeCom. Starting from version 4.0, DingTalk scan input is supported. 2. Product barcodes are usually long numeric strings. Numeric formats such as double may have precision issues or display in scientific notation, causing linkage failure. Store them in the database as text or integer values. 3. Only Select and Range filters are supported. For Select filters, the selection type must be single-select. For Range filters, the comparison operator must be Equals or Not Equal.
Solution:
(1) Select a filter.
(2) Switch to the mobile layout, add the filter to the mobile layout, select Enable Scan Input from the menu bar, and move it to the top of the page.
Desktop and mobile card styles are inconsistent
(1) Desktop and mobile have two style setting entries: Desktop and mobile screen sizes differ greatly. Card style settings on desktop may not be suitable for mobile browsing or may reduce readability. For example, if a desktop table card has a fixed header, copying it directly to mobile may cause the header to occupy most of the screen width or even exceed the screen width, preventing horizontal scrolling and hiding later fields.
(2) Are the two entries exactly the same feature?
Not exactly. For example, only desktop has options such as guide lines, totals/subtotals, parameter default values, and map settings. Mobile does not have these options because they involve data calculation. All calculation operations can only be completed on desktop and then automatically synced to desktop display.
(3) Why are card styles set on the two sides inconsistent?
Desktop and mobile styles are updated as follows:
- If the mobile view card style has never been edited, the Reset button to the right of Custom Style in the mobile layout is gray. In this case, any desktop modification is automatically synced to mobile after saving.
Open: Pasted image 20260623144321.png

- If the card style has been edited in mobile view, the Reset button is blue. In this case, desktop style changes are not synced to mobile after saving, and mobile style changes are not synced to desktop. Desktop and mobile styles are completely independent. However, card data content changes can still sync from desktop to mobile, except for text cards. Content changes in text cards are independent between mobile and desktop.
Open: Pasted image 20260623144413.png

(4) How can desktop and mobile card data and styles be synchronized?
Switch to the mobile layout, click the gear in the upper-right corner of the card to sync, select Style, click the blue Reset button to the right of Custom Style, then click OK again. Each card must be reset separately.

Default login page setting does not take effect
The login address should not include any suffix, for example, use https://app.guandata.com/ directly.
New account login page reports 404, page does not exist, and default page settings for enterprise and individual users.
(1) New users should log in from a URL without a suffix.
(2) If the above error has already occurred, click Dashboard, Data Center, or similar buttons at the top to switch to a page with permissions. The left navigation bar will then recover.
- Default page setting: Admin Settings > Enterprise Settings > Enterprise Page Settings > Edit Default Page on the right.
b
- Personal default page setting: Click the avatar in the upper-right corner of the page > Account Settings > Personal Default Login Page > Modify.

How can an empty folder that cannot be deleted be handled?
If a folder cannot be deleted even when it has no pages, it is because pages under the folder were previously placed in Enterprise Pages. Go to Admin Settings > Resource Management > Dashboard, find the folder, and click Delete on the right.
Note: 1. Folders or pages placed in Enterprise Pages can be operated only by administrators. 2. Whether or not the folder is in Enterprise Pages, only empty folders with no pages can be deleted.
Another deletion method: Create a page under the folder, return to Enterprise Page Settings and remove the folder, then in the dashboard list delete the page first and then delete the folder.
Can only page owners submit knowledge feedback in a table?
No. Visitors can also submit it.
The user is the page owner, but editing a card prompts that there is no dataset usage permission
Cause analysis: Page permissions and dataset permissions are separate. Having page permission does not necessarily mean the user can edit all cards.
Solution: Contact the administrator or the dataset owner to grant the user viewer or owner permission.
Two pie charts display at different sizes on the page
This is because pie chart auto-fit adapts to the entire card size as a whole, not only the chart in the center.
Images in a card cannot display normally and appear broken
Cause analysis: The BI domain uses HTTPS, while the image URL uses HTTP. The browser considers the loaded resource unsafe and blocks it.
Solution: In browser settings, go to Privacy and Security > Site Settings, scroll to the bottom and click Insecure Content, then add the BI domain to Allow Insecure Content.
How can dataset update time be displayed on a page?
-
Create a text card and select Insert Specific Property. There are two options: Dataset and Current User. Dataset provides Update Time and Created Time. Select Update Time as needed.
-
After setup, the dataset update time can be displayed directly.
-
You can also select the dataset update time format as needed.
-
In addition to displaying dataset update time and creation time, you can also display current user attributes, such as name, account, and email.
How can a circular metric card be created?
(1) Put the completed metric card into a card group.
(2) Select the card group style and upload an image. Prepare the circular image in advance. The canvas size must match the card group size, and the format should be PNG.
For data walls or mobile, see here:
-
For data walls, add a card group in the upper-left area. Decorative backgrounds can be used to add dynamic effects.
-
For mobile, add the card group under Page Components.
How can links in a table be made directly clickable?
Click Display As > Hyperlink on the corresponding field in Dimensions.
The newly created folder cannot be found when saving a card as another card
Cards must be saved on a page. If no page has been created under the new folder, the new folder cannot be found when saving the card as another card.
Can a date-format field be set as the primary key for feedback?
Yes.
After switching the theme color from Ibis White to Moonlight Blue, labels on comparison metric cards do not adapt and appear very light
Currently, only default colors change with the theme color. If adaptive colors are required, use the default theme colors.
How can a card jump to an external link with parameters?
Prerequisites: 1. Only tables, grouped tables, carousel tables, and detail tables support hyperlinks. 2. Only text format supports hyperlinks. Non-text fields must first be converted to text fields with functions, such as cast([Field Name] as string).
Solution: In card Dimensions, select the field to add a link to, then Display As > Display as Hyperlink. In the Address field of the pop-up settings box, enter the external link URL to insert. {{{value}}} represents the text content in the field and can be concatenated with the URL as needed. Only one parameter can be added. Adding other fields as parameters is not currently supported. The URL itself supports iframe parameters.
Why is the calculated result NaN when performing aggregate calculations in a visualization table?
The cause is that non-standard numeric types participate in the calculation, usually non-zero empty values such as - or null. See Null Value Handling, process the data, and then calculate again.
In a bubble administrative map with the national outline, why are only four municipalities shown when city is selected as the dimension?
On the national map, cities show only municipalities by default. Use drill-down and display city names as dimensions in the provincial outline.
What is the priority order when multiple filters are configured on a page?
Filter applications in the BI platform include firstpick, where the filter default value is the first item in the list, synchronized filters, which are exclusive to mobile lightweight apps and mobile/desktop portals, quick query, and parameterized jump, where page jumps carry filter conditions. When multiple features are used together, priority is: parameterized jump > synchronized filter > quick query > firstpick.
If any filters in cascading, tree, or linkage relationships overlap, all filters in that group take effect according to the rules, and other associated filters can only be cleared. This also applies to parameterized jumps.
A user has page export permission. Why is the export button not visible in the card menu bar when accessing a card?
Cause: First confirm whether the user role has export permission, then confirm whether the user has export permission for the current page. If permissions are correct, check the page style. The card toolbar may be set to Hide Toolbar.
Solution: Disable hiding of the card toolbar.
After Export View is enabled on a page, why is it not enabled when other users open the page?
Cause: Export View is used by the page owner to adjust formatting before export, similar to print preview page adjustment. It takes effect only for the owner and does not affect visitors accessing the page.
After jumping from a lightweight app or page, filter default values disappear or are cleared
Cause: Product logic changed. The destination page has multiple filters, and the filters have linkage between them.
When jumping from the previous page to the current page with filter value A, if filter B has no values under the condition of filter A, the default value of filter B is cleared.
