ETL Permission Management
ETL Permission Management Overview
ETL Permission Management refers to configuring access and usage permissions for an ETL after the Smart ETL flow has been built.
ETL Permission Management Details
ETL resource permissions are divided into Owner and Visitor.
The ETL owner can create, delete, modify, and view the ETL, as well as configure refresh frequency and other settings.

Owner - ETL Edit Page Operations

Visitors can view the detailed node configuration of the ETL, modify ETL nodes, preview them, and use Save As.
All data visible to visitors on this page follows the data permissions of the ETL owner.

Save As Operations for ETL
Administrator Operations
On Admin Center > System Settings > General Settings > System Rules, enable Allow Visitors to Use Save As on ETL under the Smart ETL section.

-
Administrators can always use
Save As. Regular users can use it only as ETL visitors after the administrator enables the permission. -
If the administrator disables
Allow ETL Visitors to Use Save As, theSave Asentry is not displayed. -
After using
Save As, duplicate dataset names may be detected during ETL editing and must be adjusted.
-
ETLs contain both Input Datasets and Output Datasets. Therefore, after
Save As, input dataset permissions are validated and related prompts are displayed.
ETL Visitor Operations
-
After the administrator enables this permission, ETL visitors can use
Save As. -
Go to
Data Center > Smart ETL. ETL visitors can clickSave Asfrom the resource operation menu on either the ETL list page or the ETL details page.
After clicking
Save As, fill in the edited name and the target directory. TheSave Asdirectory can only be a folder for which the current user has ownership or usage permissions.
-
Attached ETL information is retained after
Save As. -
ETL information after
Save As: -
ETL Name:
XXXX_Copy; -
ETL Refresh Method: defaults to manual, with no timeout limit.
-
ETL operator comment information is retained together with the original ETL.
Both ETL owners and visitors can copy and paste ETL operators. After copying one or more operators in the ETL editor, users can paste them into another ETL.
-
If the domain changes or a different user signs in, the
Pastefeature still works. -
When pasting across ETLs, the system automatically determines operator exceptions based on field input conditions.
The Paste operation is unavailable in the following cases (Paste is disabled):
- The ETLs belong to BI environments under different access domains.
- The browser is changed or a private/incognito window is used.
Detailed permission descriptions are shown in the table below:
